The AlterLock application functions in conjunction with the AlterLock theft prevention device to provide oversight of various vehicles, including bicycles, motorcycles, and automobiles. The device offers multiple features aimed at enhancing security through loud alarms, smartphone notifications, and GPS tracking capabilities.

Key features include:

 <li>Alarm to Deter Thieves: An integrated movement-detection alarm activates directly from the device, serving as a deterrent by alerting potential intruders and signaling theft or vandalism attempts.</li>
 <li>Smartphone Notifications for Immediate Awareness: When the device detects movement, it sends a distinctive notification sound to the paired smartphone, facilitating prompt user response.</li>
 <li>Independent Communication Capabilities: The device is capable of transmitting notifications and location data autonomously, even outside the Bluetooth communication range.</li>
 <li>Enhanced Tracking Functionality: It leverages GPS signals complemented by Wi-Fi and cellular tower information to estimate the vehicle’s location both indoors and outdoors with increased accuracy.</li>

Additional functionalities of the app include:

 <li>Registering vehicle details such as photos, specifications, and frame numbers.</li>
 <li>Toggling the device's lock mode for added security.</li>

 <li>Viewing real-time tracking information and historical routes on an integrated map interface.</li>
 <li>Managing settings for up to three vehicles and their respective devices.</li>
